Sunday Service
We are glad you have come to worship with us! There is plenty of space for all.
In addition to being back in person, we will continue to offer online services. You can watch from home or the lake by joining on Facebook or through Zoom.

This Sunday at Church, we will celebrate Communion with many people all over the world. You guessed it - World Communion Sunday. Your worship team, headed by Alexis Reiber, has planned and carefully prepared, so everyone will be safe as they are served.
The scriptures for this Sunday will cause us to wrestle with tough questions and uncertain answers. The passage Mark 10:2-16 has a lovely little section at the end describing the children coming to Jesus. Sounds lovely! The first few verses, however, speak to huge topics such as divorce and adultery – wow! Actually, these questions are asked more to throw Jesus off than they are about learning his stance on divorce. Some churches may simply bypass these tough texts – NOT Grace United!
I hope you will wonder with me; wonder where you have had to deal with the teachings of Jesus that no longer seem to work in your time and place.
Lots of food for thought for Sunday.
Oh, and be sure to come along this Sunday,
as Michelle Lake will be unveiling the amazing banners she has painted for Grace United Church in memory of her Mother-In-Law Kay Lake, who passed last year. The banners speak to Grace’s named values of community, compassion, inclusivity, invitation and innovation. You don’t want to miss the unfurling of these wonderful works of art. I will speak to her pieces in my messages for the remainder of October.
Stay safe and be well. Hope to bop elbows with you as we worship on Sunday.
Cathy Kinsman (Minister)

THE LAND - We remember, as we celebrate God’s presence in Worship, that GUC gathers on Treaty 6 land, the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, and Assiniboine peoples. As Treaty people, we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our relations.
