please speak to Rev. Cathy Kinsman.
As beloved children of God, all are included in the life and ministry of
the Grace Family where diversity is celebrated.
Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,
that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,
the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.
As Treaty people, we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with
all our relations.
Stewardship In today’s scripture Jesus asks his disciples, “Does this [teaching] offend you?” As
followers of Jesus, what offends us about sharing our abundance or inviting others to give? Can
we face this discomfort?

PRAYER OF HEALING (Used with permission from Celebrating God’s presence 2000:32).
God of all creation, you love us into being,
yet we often flee our rightful place in creation.
We confess that we exploit the gifts you place around us,
and dominate the richness of the natural order.
Forgive our greedy grasping.
We confess our part in the devastation of our planet home,
mirrored in the violence of cities, and the brokenness of hearts.
Forgive and restore us, O God.
Nurturing God, remind us of other ways to live, and of a place called home,
where creation reflects your goodness, and each thing lives in balance with all others.
Come and find us, set us right again, and take us home.
(Silent prayer-reflection or meditation)
