CHILDREN’S TIME

(Children will move to Sunday school space after this song)
PRAYER OF HEALING (Used with permission from Gathering 2024:31).
Wisdom shouts to us from the streets corner and from the alleys of our hearts.
She calls, and we fail to notice her voice over the noise of common life.
How long must Wisdom raise her voice, and we fail to pay attention?
How long will we block out her powerful voice of reconciliation and compassion?
How long will we fail to understand the beauty of the eternal message?
Restore us. Renew us. Surprise us with your love, O God.
For we need that love in times like these and in times to come.
May we discover and pay attention to your voice,
which will encourage us to live faithfully
and with eco-justice on our lips and in our actions.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
(Silent prayer-reflection or meditation)
WORDS OF COMFORT AND GRACE
Receive this Good news! On the seventh day of creation, God finished work and rested.
We are reminded that the Holy one loves us in our work and in our play.
Be at peace, knowing that the love of God surrounds and enfolds you,
today and every day.
Thanks be to God.

the Grace Family where diversity is celebrated.
Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,
that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,
the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.
As Treaty people,
we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our relations.
Stewardship Seconds: “When you think of your future, have you considered the needs of others—
this church, this community, God’s world?”
