Life and beauty surround us. Love and care are our inheritance.

Justice and peace are gifts from God.

Gracious God, our hearts open to you, the God of goodness and truth.

Our spirits soar to be in the presence of the holy.

But we have ignored, distrusted, and rejected you, O God.

We have ignored the presence of the Christ in the stranger.

We have distrusted your promise of forgiveness and new life.

We have rejected your offer of a world transformed.

WORDS OF COMFORT AND GRACE

People of God receive the Good News! God renews us with the gift of the peace that only God can

give. Through God’s peace, the hurts and pains of our soul are healed. Our ability to love others is

refreshed, and we will witness to others the love that is the heart of God peace. Thanks be to God.
