WE OFFER OURSELVES TO GOD
PRAYER OF HEALING
Holy and Loving God,
when your light shines, nothing is hidden;
and when your light shines on us,
there is joy in the seeing and discomfort in being seen.
Help us, by your love, to bear the light of your truth, integrity, forgiveness and faithfulness.
Bring us out of hiding, that we may become children of the light.
We offer you the moments in time we have been less than bright light in your world,
knowing with your healing love,
we will be beacons of hope through Jesus the Christ, the light of the world.
(A moment of reflection)
WORDS OF GRACE AND COMFORT
Through cross and manger, you have freed us to new life.
Grace and comfort glow and grow among us. Thanks be to God. Amen.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED ABOUT THE ADVANTAGES OF A TECHNOLOGY-FREE HOLIDAY???
A technology-free holiday can have several advantages. Firstly, it will disconnect you from the constant influx of information and notifications. It will also help you focus on the present moment and enjoy your surroundings rather than be distracted by phone or other devices. Finally, it’s about building stronger relationships and connections with the people you are travelling with. For all the above reasons, Lana Lane our Family Support Worker will not be accessing her technology which includes phone and email while she is away for the month of January.
The Christian Development Team
We are ready for another powerful rotational unit. This time the kids are learning about the Beatitudes! The Beatitudes are a set of teachings found in the Sermon on the Mount, which is a passage in the Gospel of Matthew. Blessed are… describe the qualities and virtues that are pleasing to God and lead to a happy and fulfilled life. The Sunday School Children are going to be learning a lot about humility, patience, forgiveness, peace and love. By learning more about GOD, they will be encouraged to strive for these virtues in their own lives. Here’s how it looks for the next unit:
Sunday, January 8th – Mel leading
Sunday, January 15th – Erica leading
Sunday, January 22nd – Rheanne leading
SUPER SUNDAY- January 29th- Lana leading - GUC Playschool Children shares during service.

As beloved children of God, all are included in the life and ministry of the Grace Family
where diversity is celebrated.
Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,
that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,
the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.
As Treaty people,
we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our relations.
