Join Tanya Robertson in the kitchen on our next Meals n' More night, Tuesday, November 22nd. We have built an excellent working relationship with Residents in Recovery and 3/10 cooks in the kitchen will be from that program. This provides an excellent opportunity for those in treatment to be in a supportive and learning environment. There will be 7 cooking spots available to the public. Can't make it on the 22nd? Meals n More runs again on November 29th. If you would like to support a family in the kitchen, donations are accepted in the office. $65.00/class or $120 for the remaining classes.

ADVENT - PREPARING FOR CHRISTMAS| NOV & DEC|GUC
As the season that is notoriously wrapped in materialism, busyness and exhaustion comes closer, the CD committee has planned some excellent learning around the theme of ADVENT. 'Tis the season we prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Our next SUPER SUNDAY will be November 27th. We welcome all little people and their families through our doors during this special season and every season. This Sunday, kids attending Sunday School will review the Story of Mary and be introduced to the Christmas Pageant. Through the sharing of read aloud, crafts & activities children will learn about Mary, the angel Gabriel, Mary's cousin Elizabeth, Joseph, the town of Bethlehem, a special donkey, the stable, the shepherds, the manger, a special star, the wisemen, and Baby Jesus. What a gift!!!

We are still in the hunt for musicians. Unfortunately, registration has been really low for both Groovin @ Grace and Kidz Praize. Kidz Praize, ages 5-10, has been changed to WEDNESDAYS after school from 4:00 - 5:00 in hopes of attracting more young people. Groovin @ Grace will continue on Tuesdays. Spread the word for these 2 amazing programs!
YOUTH NITES|NOV 24|6:00 – 8:30 PM |GUC
Youth Nites are an opportunity for youth ages 11-18 to gather in a safe and welcoming space to learn more about each other, take in a mental health strategy and have fun in the main activity. Upcoming main activities include Intergenerational Sewing & Cookie Making, Pizza & Movie, Christmas Baking, and Christmas Shopping for a family in need. WE ARE IN NEED of adult seamstresses for Thursday, November 24th plus a few cooks for the kitchen. Please let the office if you'd like to help with this special evening.

POINSETTIA PROJECT|DEC 12|10:00 AM|GUC
The Pastoral Care committee is once again planning to deliver a poinsettia to those who have suffered a bereavement or a long term illness this past year. If you care to support this project monetary donations will be accepted at the office. The approximate cost of each plant is $10.00. The poinsettias will be delivered on December 12th . We require 10-12 drivers for delivery. If you are able to assist with deliveries, please call Joan Ellis at 780-871-3521. Thank you. Help us to brighten someone’s Christmas!
