WE OFFER OURSELVES TO GOD
PRAYER OF HEALING (Used and adapted with permission, Seasons FUSION, Pentecost 2, 2022)
Creator God, sometimes we struggle to see ourselves as creators made in your image.
Sometimes we forget that you made us in love,
and that you call us to love you in return.
Sometimes we remember too clearly the pains and heartaches of the past.
Sometimes we cling to them, and even re-create those painful times.
Sometimes we ignore your promise for our future.
Sometimes we forget to turn to you in prayer.
We forget to call on your name.
Forgive us, gracious God, as we pray to you now, in peace and with love.
(Time for silent prayer and meditation)
WORDS OF GRACE AND COMFORT
God says: I am renewing heaven and Earth and I shall be with you.
Even now, you forgive, you re-create and call us into something new.
God is renewing heaven and Earth,
beginning in comfort and grace, with each one here. Amen.

TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE|NOV 20 |7:00-9:00 PM|GUC
Transgender Day of Remembrance is honoured internationally on November 20 as a time to remember those who have lost their lives due to violence as a result of transphobia. This year, Grace United Church joins with members of the LGBTQ+ Society and local transgender community to host an evening of shared stories, remembrance, community, healing, and learning. The evening will include personal stories from six speakers, as well as a candle vigil, and opportunities to ask questions in a safe, judgment-free environment. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend.
As beloved children of God, all are included in the life and ministry of the Grace Family where diversity is celebrated.
Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,
that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,
the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.
As Treaty people,
we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our
relations.
