WE OFFER OURSELVES TO GOD
PRAYER OF HEALING (Adapted with permission) – Gathering, Pentecost 2, 2022, Yr. C – Gord Dunbar
How can we not respond to such an amazing gift as that of God’s gift of healing grace?
We respond by opening our hearts fully and humbly to transformation,
holding nothing back in our communion with God as we pray silently.
(Time for silent prayer and meditation)
WORDS OF GRACE AND COMFORT
Like the fruitfulness of this harvest season, God provides us with all we need.
Our need is filled in the overwhelming love of God for each and all of us.
The source of this unconditional love and healing,
is the grace of God revealed in the risen Christ.
There is wonder at the plenty of this peaceful and comforting gift.
There is becoming and sharing of this love called out to us, even as we receive.
Thanks be to God for that which gives life to the world. Amen.
THE SCRIPTURE SPEAKS TO US
SCRIPTURE READING
The Gospel According to John - 6: 25-35 - Give us the bread from heaven for eternal life.
The Letter to the Philippians 4:4-9 – The peace of God, which passes all understanding.
In this is God’s Holy Word. Thanks be to God.

NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY | OCT 11TH|7:00 – 9:00PM |GUC HALL
National Coming Out Day has been held each year on October 11th since 1988. At its heart, National Coming Out Day seeks to raise awareness and offer support for individuals within the 2SLGBTQQIPAA community, whether they are already “out of the closet”, hoping to come “out of the closet”, or do not feel safe to come “out of the Closet” and must remain hiding their truth from friends, family and colleagues. It is said that homophobia thrives on silence – the silence of the 2SLGBTQQIPAA community and allies alike. National Coming Out Day acts as a beacon of light, shining into dark corners and dispelling the silence, giving voices back and starting the conversations that lead to healing, acceptance, inclusion and love for all.
Sharing the Light on National Coming Out Day will feature three guest speakers, interactive games, and opportunities for sharing, education and connection. We hope you can join us!

MISSION & SERVICE UPDATE |SEPT 2022|GUC
The Mission and Service fund is grateful for all contributions that this supporting church community has provided. At the end of September, the contribution to M & S was $21,984.00. Our goal for this year is $36,000.
As beloved children of God, all are included in the life and ministry of the Grace Family
where diversity is celebrated.
Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,
that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,
the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.
As Treaty people,
we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our relations.
