PRAYER OF HEALING

Creator, Brother, and Sacred Spirit, you give us purpose, guidance, and fill us with life, but we don’t always use our skills and energy in ways that build up your kin-dom.

Sometimes, we abuse our gifts,

we neglect to care for the environment, we take people and resources for granted, and we become deaf to the never-ending cries of pain and fear from your people, our kindred kind.

Great Gardener, teach us to reach in,

soften our hearts and reside in every moment of our lives,

teach us how to reach out,

reaching into our community, the space beyond these walls,

and teach us to embrace those living outside our cozy circle of safety and understanding. Forgive and speak to us, gently just God, as we seek to know how we can bring your love into action.

 (Silent reflective prayer time offered)

WORDS OF GRACE AND COMFORT

Brothers, Sisters, as bright and brilliant children of our Celestial Parent, we are always heard, loved, and honoured.

God hears our cries of pain and delights in our songs of gratitude.

We know God will be our ever-constant ear and always guiding hands, They will all-ways care for us. We are loved! Yay God!

Anyone that has not been contacted to work at the fair booth or would like to volunteer, please contact Marilyn McAllister, at 780-808-4245. There are different shifts through out the day and  evenings.

 SERVICE DOGS

Our society has largely accepted the public presence of “seeing eye dogs” to assist the blind. Many people are now benefitting from the support of service dogs to help them deal with other disabilities. These disabilities can be physical and mental, including people who are on the autism spectrum. Welcoming people who benefit from the support of a service dog is consistent with Grace United Church’s core value of “Inclusion”.  We cannot discount however that some people suffer from allergies and a fear of dogs. If this is a concern for you, please call or email the church office and we will do our best to ensure that you are not in contact.

As beloved children of God, all are included in the life and ministry of

the Grace Family where diversity is celebrated.

Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,

that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,

the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.

As Treaty people,

we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our relations.
