PRAYER OF HEALING (Used with permission from Gathering, Pentecost 1A, 2023Karen Pryznyk), Okotoks, Alberta
Three-in-One God, you call us into loving relationship,
with you and with each other.
In this, we have fullness of life,
in the giving and receiving of love.
Every heartache, every mis-step,
all brokenness comes from forgetting this truth.
Forgive us for forgetting.
Forgive us for going it alone.
Draw us back to your circle of love.
In our prayers, remind us we are your children and members of the same family.
Prayer/silent meditation
WORDS OF GRACE AND COMFORT
God the Creator,
Jesus the Teacher,
and the Holy spirit have promised us unconditional love and forgiveness of our shortcomings.
With the help of the Three-in-One,
there is harmony for all in body,
Mind, and spirit.
Thanks be to God for this real and everlasting possibility of grace. Amen.

STEWARDSHIP SECONDS
When we empty ourselves, we create a space for God’s love to fill. What so you need to give away?
PRIDE WEEK|JUNE 11-18
There is so much to be thankful for at this time of year. Not only is June a time to come together as a community to support and continue the struggle for 2SLGBTQQIAAP+ Rights and Freedoms in our own backyard and around the world, but also to honour the history, knowledge, oral traditions, and contributions of Indigenous People on Turtle Island for National Indigenous History Month. This year, our local Pride Committee is excited to bring you a week of Lloyd Pride 2023 celebrations starting on June 11 and continuing until June 18. We kick off Pride Week next Sunday with the Annual Pride Walk and Pride in the Park sponsored by Cenovus Energy, Synergy Credit Union and CO-OP, followed by the All Ages Pride Ride Bike-a-Thon in support of Lloydminster and Vermilion for Equity (Monday, June 12), a Rainbows 'n Glitter Sober Social Evening and Dance in support of Residents in Recovery in the Grace United Church Hall (Tuesday, June 13), Pride Family Movie Night sponsored by Grace United Church (Wednesday, June 14), Drag BINGO at the Sticks Billiards and Lounge (Thursday, June 15), a Family "Play at the Park" and nature craft event at Bud Miller picnic area playground (Friday, June 16), the annual Lloyd Pride 2023 Drag Showcase on the Vic Juba Community Theatre main stage (Saturday, June 17), and finally the Slay the Day Youth Performing Arts Showcase in the Black Box Theatre at Lakeland College (Sunday, June 18). For more information, tickets, and timings for these wonderful events, please visit @LGBTQLloyd on Facebook, or email me at gucjensonbrown@gmail.com. I hope you all have a blessed week and look forward to seeing many of you during Lloyd Pride 2023!

2ND FILIPINO FESTIVAL (PINOY FIESTA)|JUNE 24|7:00 AM – 10:00 PM |BUDMILLER PARK PICNIC AREA
The United Filipino Canadians in Lloydminster and surrounding areas, will be spearheading and organizing the, a Filipino-Canadian Festival with the theme ‘FILIPINO AKO, SAAN MANG BAHAGI NG MUNDO” and with the main goal of promoting unity, friendship, and camaraderie among Filipino-Canadian community by knowing by heart, our Philippine Custom, Tradition and Culture “The Pinoy Fiesta will showcase the different customs, traditions and culture of the Philippines through dances, songs, games and food as the fiesta is part and parcel of Filipino culture. This celebration is the tie that binds Filipinos from a region or an area together, a time to reunite with our extended family and our kababayans (countrymen/women). It is a time to rejoice in friendship, share our blessing and showcase the Filipino talent. We will have live band(s), talent presentation, food fest, parlor games, and many more surprise activities. In this regard, we are reaching out to the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Community Organizations to join the community information fair as one of our added events for the said activity. The Filipino Festival (Pinoy Fiesta) will be a good avenue for all the available agencies to create wide awareness about the available social and health services and programs, as we are expecting at least over 1500 attendees on that day. Everyone is welcome to set-up their information booth/table as one way of reaching out to the community with regards to the available services and programs here in Lloydminster and surrounding areas as we have identified that there is still a gap on the communication or knowledge among the community members of these available services and programs. Registration is free. The organizers had prepared two tents (10 x10) for your tables/booth and set one area at the venue for our community information fair.
THANK YOU GUC PLAYSCHOOL
It's been another very successful year in the GUC Playschool with over one hundred 3 & 4-year-olds coming through our doors every week! WOW, what a gift to witness the innocence of little people and experience the joy and laughter children bring to our world. As part of the Grace family, the GUC Playschool program runs out of the church basement every weekday morning and most afternoons! Due to licensing requirements, it is run as a separate entity, and space is rented at the Church. As part of Federal and Provincial granting initiatives, the GUC Playschool Board has been able to keep registration fees at a very reasonable cost for families. In addition, the fundraising activities by our Playschool families, and subsidies from the Alberta Government have helped to secure a solid budget. The GUC Playschool Board is pleased to announce that due to some extra grants the Playschool received, a $5000.00 cheque has been presented to the Grace United Church Board in appreciation for all that has been done for the GUC Playschool! Thank you! God's hands and heart are everywhere.
As beloved children of God, all are included in the life and ministry of
the Grace Family where diversity is celebrated.
Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,
that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,
the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.
As Treaty people,
we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our relations.
